5 pistachio recipes where they are the star ingredient

When it comes to pistachios, most people think of easy-to-take snacks. And while pistachios taste great on their own, they also make a delicious addition to a variety of recipes. Thanks to TikTok, there are plenty of ways to incorporate pistachios into your entree or dessert. Even brands like Starbucks are jumping on the pistachio bandwagon with the return of its pistachio latte. From dumplings to crème brûlée, these five pistachio recipes will have you going nuts for the nuts.

1. Pistachio, edamame and tofu ravioli

For an alternative to pistachios, look no further than this recipe. Start by folding each wonton wrapper around a filling consisting of a mixture of scorpion pepper seasoned pistachios, edamame, tofu, garlic, chives, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil and lemongrass. Once you have wrapped the meatballs, place them in a skillet with oil and cook until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy. Then add a little water and cover the pan to steam for four to five minutes. Finally, garnish with sesame seeds and chives. Then serve with soy sauce and chilli oil.

2. Fried Pistachio Feta with Lemon and Spicy Honey

This pistachio fried feta is a real crowd pleaser. The recipe features feta dipped in beaten eggs and coated in a mixture of pistachios, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Then place the pistachio feta in the fridge before cooking it in a skillet until the pistachios are crispy and golden. Once cooked, top the feta with spiced honey, lemon juice and thyme. Serve with toasted pita chips and olives.

3. Vegan pasta with pistachio pesto

Add some punch to your traditional pesto pasta with this pistachio twist. First cook the pasta until al dente. Then toss the pasta into a sauce made with mixed pistachios, garlic, nutritional yeast, basil, mint, chili flakes, lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and pasta water. Garnish with pepper and fresh herbs. Enjoy your lunch!

4. Pistachio creme brulee

Pistachios get fancy in this dessert recipe. Start by making the pastry cream from a mixture of beaten eggs, sugar, pistachio paste and cream. Next, pour the pastry cream into a shallow bowl. Then place the bowl in a baking dish with water. After baking for 40 minutes at 284 degrees Fahrenheit, coat the surface with sugar and light it until it caramelizes. Garnish with crushed pistachios and enjoy!

5. Iced pistachio latte

Words cannot express how delicious this iced latte is. This sweet and simple recipe involves adding ice to a glass, followed by pistachio milk and shots of espresso. After a few gentle swirls, coat the latte with sweet vanilla cream and crumbled pistachios.
