A 23-year-old girl in Hyderabad turns her passion into a business

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old girl from Hyderabad, Syeda Rummana has become a successful entrepreneur in a short time. She turned her passion for cooking into a business.

It all started during the early days of lockdown, when there was nothing to do but hone your own abilities. She started using social media to demonstrate her passion for food by cooking different meals every day and uploading their beautiful shots to her Instagram account.

After seeing the photos, people started asking her to share the recipe or the price of the food. At that time, she was unprepared to take orders.

Later, during Ramzan, when his mother started preparing special dishes including Haleem, which was unavailable during the first phase of the holy month due to lockdown, people kept asking her for the prices of the dishes. She then realized that the profession has a lot of potential if done correctly.

Soon she turned her passion for cooking into a business by starting ‘Habeeb’s Kitchen’. It all started with Haleem and now his small home kitchen menu has branched out with Biryani, Marag, kebabs, Zafrani biryani, and baked items such as brownies and desserts and many other snack foods.

It was his family’s wish

Sharing her take on the business, she said, “First and foremost, I love to cook. I started cooking when I was in high school, not out of compulsion, but because I found it relaxing. Second, my mother taught me every day to cook tasty, attractive and presentable food. Third, it was our whole family’s desire to start a food business, and the lockdown allowed us to reach our full potential, Alhamdulilah.”

She also said, “Every day I aim to create content like fantastic and delicious meals at least three times a week to keep people engaged and hungry for good food. I strive to reinvent all my recipes so that they are appreciated by a diverse audience”.
