Fast-growing UK holiday park operator Away Resorts has purchased leisure operator Coppergreen in an undisclosed deal.
The Sheffield-based company originally had 370 lodges across four parks in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Scotland, as well as the Kenwick Park Hotel near Louth.
He was only added to the team in 2018 and is now owned by the Hemel Hempstead company backed by CVC Capital Partners.

The deal takes Away’s footprint across 27 locations and follows the addition of Aria Resorts in August. Earlier in 2021, the owner of Tattershall Lakes in Lincolnshire added The Beachcomber, Cleethorpes, Boston West and a site in St Ives, Cornwall.

Growth capital investor BGF is pulling out of the deal, after backing Coppergreen in 2016.
Away Resorts will now welcome more than 750,000 visitors per year.
