Bobcat Bonnie’s opens in Grand Rapids

A Detroit-based restaurant known for its “craft beers, great food, exceptional service, and killer playlist” has opened its first location in western Michigan.

On November 2, owner Matt Buskard opened Bobcat Bonnie’s Grand Rapids at 1968 Breton Road SE in former Houlihan’s.

The restaurant – founded in Detroit in 2017 and now located in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, Wyandotte, Ferndale, Ypsilanti and Clinton Township’s Partridge Creek Mall – serves seasonally changing New American cuisine, such as appetizers. artwork, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, bowls and large plates, accompanied by dessert, cocktails and wines.

Buskard said he was excited to open a store in western Michigan.

“I am originally from the Allendale area and have always known Grand Rapids,” he said. “It was exciting to come back here, and the space was open… there wasn’t much in the Breton village area, so it was exciting to go. We wanted to be in an area where we could be a part of the community and make a change. … We also thought that we would be complementary with our neighboring companies. People seem to have really enjoyed us so far in our first two full weeks of operation. “

Currently, Bobcat Bonnie Grand Rapids hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday to Friday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Buskard said the restaurant is preparing to add hours on Mondays and before the holidays it will start offering brunch on weekends. People can keep an eye on Bobcat Bonnie’s Grand Rapids’ Facebook page for the new schedules in the coming weeks.

The restaurant also offers heated outdoor domes, at a cost of $ 10 upon reservation.
