The spring card is a big one with 33 food items with everything from porridge to sandwiches and treats too.
Spring, to me, is a time of year that I look forward to, not only because it’s my birthday season, but also because the sun usually starts to make a warm appearance and it reminds me that summer is not far away.
Here’s what I thought of the items I tried on Costa Coffee’s new spring menu that features M&S Food and how much it will cost to grab yours.

Reviews of Costa Coffee and M&S Food
M&S Tomato & Basil Soup (Vegan)
It took about three minutes to heat up in the microwave and it was full of flavor.
Although it was a nice consistency, there were little bits running through it, but as someone who doesn’t like ‘chunks’ in things like yogurt, this soup wasn’t off-putting at all.
It is important to note that the container gets hot in the microwave and there is a lot of steam, so be careful when removing it.
M&S Rich Beef Stew
Although I’m a big fan of pasta dishes, Ragu isn’t normally the one I would go to, but after trying this one I’d be more than happy to eat it again.
It came in a box and all I had to do was remove the lid and put it in the oven for 20 minutes.
It was easy to heat up with no mess and although it was tasty, for me the flavor could have been a bit stronger. The crispy topping was a fantastic touch!
If you’re someone who likes to make lunch a faff-free meal, the simple cooking instructions make this ideal.
M&S jumbo prawns with a creamy cocktail sauce
These king prawns are a good size and you get plenty of them and the cocktail sauce that comes with them, making them a great snack when you’re on the go.
I even had some of the dip left and it comes from a generous ladle!
M&S porridge with berry compote (vegetarian)
This portion of porridge and the berry compote are both generous.
It was a slightly lumpy consistency after heating, but I think the porridge should have a certain amount of lumps to make it porridge!
While the berry compote wasn’t quite to my liking, I can imagine this breakfast option is great for others.
The porridge alone was enough for me but everyone has their own taste!
M&S Our Best Sausage Roll
The smell of fresh pastry wafted out of the package when I first opened this sausage roll.
I often prefer my sausage rolls warm, but this one is perfectly cold and would make a great addition to any spring picnic.
You can put it in the oven for 20 minutes or eat it as is.
Again, I was not short on pastry or meat with this portion size.
M&S BLT Sandwich
A BLT is a classic when it comes to sandwiches, but it’s not the one I usually gravitate towards.
The sandwich was fresh and full of flavor with lots of salad. It had a good ratio of meat and salad and is a tasty lunch option.
You can now buy the M&S range in over 2,500 Costa Coffee stores.
