The Falcons host the Chicago Bears this weekend in what should be an exciting game between two proud, scrappy towns with mediocre football teams.

  • And so, Axios Chicago Justin Kaufmann has volunteered to provide menu suggestions if you’re hosting Bears fans on Sunday.

Here is Justin:

🥬 Spinach and artichoke dip: We love our dip. French onion, ranch, queso, seven layers. But the spinach and artichoke dip is a Chicago classic. It’s spinach, artichokes and several kinds of cheese, cooked to perfection. Serve with tortilla chips. It’s clean!

🥩 Italian Beef Slow Cooker: There’s nothing better than a pile of seasoned beef simmering for hours. Time it for kick off and be sure to complete it with Giardiniera.

🍫 Dessert: Portillo has a chocolate cake. There are online recipes on how to copy. The secret? Mayonnaise.

Justin’s thought bubble: “Bears fans have this game circled on the schedule because former general manager Ryan Pace is now with the Falcons. We would love nothing more than to get a win over the guy who drafted Mitch Trubisky.”

Here are our recommendations for ATL-friendly appetizers to Justin.
