ELON EATS: Take a bite of Converge Coffee’s tasty fall menu

Converge Coffee, a Burlington coffeehouse, makes you feel safe and welcome from the moment you step inside. Customers are greeted by friendly staff who help you decide what to order. The fall decor makes you feel right at home during the season, with leaf-shaped chairs and warm colors all around. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries fills the shop.

My attraction to Converge Coffee was their seasonal menu: Salted Smoked Rosemary Latte, Cold Chocolate Milk Infusion, Chai Pumpkin Pie, Yogurt Parfait, Apple and Ricotta Toast, Waldorf Chicken Salad Toast, and maple scones.

To start off, I ordered an iced pumpkin skim milk chai. The iced latte had a warm fall flavor, making it the perfect fall drink. It was my first time to drink chai and it contained the perfect amount of spices. The pumpkin flavor was important and you could taste the syrup with every sip.

I also ordered a cold iced chocolate milk infusion. The coffee was strong and you can tell the cold brew was steamed for twenty four hours. Their Homeland Creamery chocolate milk was rich in flavor, making it the perfect balance between dessert and breakfast. To better describe the drink, it tasted like iced hot chocolate.

To complete my experience, I ordered a maple scone. The scone was so good that there were no more crumbs left. The strong maple flavor was not dominant which created a perfect combination with the flavorful coffees.

My friend ordered the apple ricotta toast and luckily I was able to have a bite of it. The Granny Smith apples in the toast made the dish refreshing. The sourdough on the toast paired perfectly with the honey nutmeg ricotta for an experience that made me wish I had ordered it myself.

Overall, I give Converge Coffee a 9.3 / 10 rating. Everything I ordered I would order again, from delicious food to spicy lattes. Although the store has relatively high prices, the perfect ambiance and helpful staff make you want to sit down and enjoy their entire menu.
