EULESS- November 21st and 22n/a Herbert Austin, SBA Dallas/Fort Worth District Manager and SBA South Central Regional Communications Acting Director Ahmad Goree will visit two North Texas small businesses to promote Small Business Saturday, which is a nationwide celebration where the SBA encourages consumers to shop from small businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This year, Austin and Goree will visit Beverly’s Florist in Arlington and Les Delices De France Bakery in Dallas. These two companies received loans from the SBA to expand and create jobs. Arlington Mayor Jim Ross and Dallas City Councilman Jaynie Schultz will join the tours.

We invite you to join us on these two visits.

Held the day after “Black Friday”, November 26 marks the 13e Annual Small Business Saturday, created to help small businesses capture a greater share of critical holiday season consumer spending, helping small business owners bring more customers to their doors.

The US Small Business Administration also encourages shoppers to go the extra mile and patronize local dining and entertainment businesses. According to American Express®, shoppers came together last year to support their local communities; and Small Business Saturday reached an all-time high of around $23.3 billion[1] in reported spending at small retailers and restaurants.
