A luxury dessert brand founded in Derby is set to launch its first international outlet next month.

Heavenly Desserts was established in 2008 by Mohammad Imran and Yousif Aslam.

The popular brand currently operates 42 stores across the UK, including six in the East Midlands.

Now, after an “incredibly exciting” period of growth in its home turf, the company is preparing to launch a new store in Toronto, Canada, and has revealed plans to open four more outlets across the country.

A spokesperson for Heavenly Desserts told TheBusinessDesk.com that its new store will welcome 75 guests and employ around 20 people.

Plans are in place to expand the franchise to Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary after opening in Toronto, and the brand is also expected to expand to the United States and Pakistan in the coming months.

The news follows the arrival of NSO Trainer Martha Prudence, Brand Excellence Auditor Louise Wilkinson and Northern and Scotland Regional Manager Warren Smith to the growing company.

Yousif Aslam, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Heavenly Desserts, said, “We are delighted to expand our team at such a critical time for the business. With innovative new product launches happening all the time and the brand expanding internationally, we are seeing incredibly exciting growth.

“As we move forward at a steady pace, it is crucial that we maintain the fantastic standard of Heavenly Desserts – whether in new stores both domestically and globally, or in our existing store base – and we are looking forward to seeing Martha, Louise and Warren overseeing this in each of their respective roles. I am very happy to have them on board to help us continue to grow, not only in terms of business, but also in terms of scale and the career progression of our team. »
