Hyderabad’s Platform 65 has a new menu and offers over 200 entries


Pier 65 set up its outlet in Kompally a year ago and attracted people for its theme (train car) and experience. But now it has started a “start-up festival” with more than 200 entries, each different from the other. The first miniature locomotive brought to the burning table Veluli Kodi Charuan invigorating soup that delights the taste buds with spices, followed by a never-ending train of starters.

Chef Jayanth Kumar Jena, the head chef of Platform 65, explains to CE the dishes served and says: “We have started Velulae Kodi Charu shortly after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Many love the taste of this soup because it contains small pieces of chicken, along with the tangy taste of garlic and ginger, which are also good for immune health. With public demand, we made it one of the main dishes on our menu that you could order at any time.

They experimented with something new for their menu. “No restaurant in town offers 200 starters. Plus, it’s something different that we offer on the regular menu, which remains the same,” says chef Jayanth. Adding: “We always wanted to do something with the starters. We came up with the idea of ​​a starter festival that our guests loved. We will continue the festival if the love continues to flow. The restaurant experimented for months to master appetizer, vegetarian and non-vegetarian recipes.

From the new menu

“We started this a month ago due to customer demand. We also launched the children’s menu in April, which is good for all children who come here with their families, for which we also have a good response.

The train continues to advance with the appetizers, each passing train leaves a different flavor. We may never have the courage to taste them all, because it is only by tasting 8 to 10 entries that the stomach is full. Their Allam Kodi Wings, bread Cheese tikkalemon chicken and Mughlai Chicken is a signature dish not to be missed.

That aside, the restaurant also launched a bucket menu a month ago, where food is served in buckets. “Here, one can devour a range of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes. We even have an option to customize our buckets. The starter bucket, which offers seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes, is a must. The main dish consists of Chitti Mutyalu Pulav, which comes in the form of chicken and mutton and is a popular deficiency. For vegetarians, butter Naan with methi and bread is one of the best combinations to adopt,” he told CE.

The desserts are also on the next level. “We have Angora Rabdi, a perfect dessert to end the meal. We also have Seetapal Rabdi and a few others; everyone can have what they prefer,” added the chef. Overall, the dishes are highly rated here and the experience is one of a kind – the seats resemble those of a train carriage. The table is the platform, which also served chopped noodlesCauliflower and Garlic Butter Shrimp Popsicles.
