Ina Garten’s Favorite Holiday Menu
Garten’s Favorite Holiday Menu comes from his cookbook Get ahead. Which means all of these recipes can be put together ahead of time. The menu includes slow roasted spicy pork, winter coleslaw, and sour cream cornbread.

The Sunday rib roast recipe is actually pretty easy, and the mustard and horseradish sauce is out of this world. All it takes is a good mayo, Dijon mustard, whole mustard, horseradish, sour cream and kosher salt.

For the big show – aka Christmas dinner – Garten goes all out. Its menu begins with champagne and roasted Marcona almonds with thyme as an aperitif.
Once again, she includes her Sunday rib roast with mustard and horseradish sauce as a main course. But this time the sides are scalloped tomatoes, a potato and fennel gratin, and sausage-stuffed mushrooms. For dessert, Garten serves a delicious raspberry cheesecake.
Making the aperitif is super easy. It only takes 20 minutes and all you need are salted Marcona almonds, good olive oil, chopped fresh thyme leaves, kosher salt and fleur de sel.
The sausage stuffed mushrooms are from Garten’s cookbook Is it easy?. And you can even make them ahead of time to free up your kitchen on Christmas Day. His raspberry cheesecake is made from scratch. With a delicious graham cracker crust, a cheese filling and a filling loaded with jelly and fresh raspberries.

Garten’s New Years Eve menu features an easy pasta dish, champagne, and plenty of sweet treats. The Barefoot Contessa advises grabbing a bottle or two of your favorite champagne, smoked salmon on brown bread, and crème fraîche at the grocery store.
