LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Iconic business, Armata’s Market, located on Shaker Road in Longmeadow, was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday morning.
Armata’s has been a local market since 1963, open daily, offering the community home-made baked goods, such as cakes and pies, bread, pastries, as well as turkeys and all the preparations to accompany the tables. of Thanksgiving.
In a Facebook post by Armata Market, they thank all the first responders who were called to the fire and all those who contacted them to offer them their best wishes. The market will announce the options available for Thanksgiving orders.
The market had ready-made Thanksgiving meals that had to be picked up on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. a homemade apple or pumpkin pie.
Homemade pies were a staple for many who knew the market. The available homemade desserts that Amata had made available for Thanksgiving included an apple pie, pumpkin pie, double chocolate cream pie, pecan pie and an assortment of cheesecakes.

Also, to our friends as customers who contacted and sent their greetings, they are very much appreciated, ”Armata’s Market said in the Facebook post. “Although it was a difficult morning, we are grateful that no one was injured and that all employees are safe.”
