A gourmet restaurant with an eight-course tasting menu has been launched at the most exclusive hotels in North Staffordshire.
The Plumicor brings an upscale dining experience to The Tawny which opened in the Staffordshire Moorlands last summer.
Housed in the magnificent glass-fronted building overlooking the 70-acre Consall Hall estate and gardens, the Plumicor is overseen by Michelin and Rosette-trained Executive Chef Chris Alexander.

It’s open to hotel guests and non-guests alike who can choose from a la carte options such as butter-poached lobster and yellowfin tartare.
Starters cost £ 7 to £ 14, main courses £ 18 to £ 38, and desserts £ 9.50 to £ 13.
Most of the ingredients are sourced locally in Staffordshire and the Peak District, while fresh herbs and vegetables are grown in the hotel’s vegetable garden.
A spokesperson for The Tawny said: “Chris has brought his extensive dining and event experience to the Tawny kitchen and works closely with his team to create complex, exciting and memorable menus focused on taking simple ingredients and elevating them through smart cooking, ensuring they make the most of the flavor and texture profiles of the products.
“For those staying a second night or more at the hotel, Chris and his team can create a shared menu – booked 24 hours in advance – of Chateaubriand with all the trimmings or monkfish curry.”
In addition to the main restaurant, there is also a private dining space – named The Perch – where people can enjoy a seasonal tasting menu starting at £ 230 per person for seven or eight courses.
The spokesperson added: “The customer’s choice to dine at The Perch can be either a bespoke menu, developed as a result of a conversation with the chef and entirely guided by the customer’s personal preferences or the celebration. to come, or for the Full Chef’s Table Experience which encompasses a five-course tasting menu with assorted wines (from £ 75 per person, excluding wines).
“The tasting menu is a true expression of the restaurant’s locality and will feature the best that the region and the season has to offer.”
Tawny afternoon tea will also be available for guests and non-guests of The Perch.
It will offer a selection of homemade sweet and savory delicacies, inspired by the seasons, accompanied by a selection of English teas or sparkling wines.
Finally, more casual meals are offered at the Feather Lounge, which offers stunning views of the gardens and offers diners a choice of wood-fired pizzas and delicious tapas, as well as a selection of cold cuts and flatbreads. .
