NadaMoo! Raises nearly $ 10 Million in Series B Funding

AUSTIN, TEXAS – The dairy-free frozen dessert brand NadaMoo! raised nearly $ 10 million in Series B funding led by existing investors District Ventures Capital and InvestEco and new partner Killam Investments.

Founded in 2005, NadaMoo! offers an assortment of frozen desserts formulated with organic coconut milk. Pints are available nationwide at retailers including Whole Foods Market, Target, Walmart, and Publix. The company also offers more than 20 flavors at a flagship store in Austin. NadaMoo! Frozen desserts contain no preservatives, colors or artificial flavors and are plant-based and gluten-free. In addition, the company uses packaging made from sugar cane and paper from sustainable sources.

“We love NadaMoo! and their vision of sustainable plant-based nutrition and see this as a way to enter and support the herbal movement; after trying all the available options, NadaMoo! is the most delicious ‘best for you’ pint on the market, ”said Cliffe Killam, president of Killam Investments.

NadaMoo! will use the funding to support branding, distribution, marketing and product development.

“This round of funding will help us continue to pilot the NadaMoo! brand for the benefit of our customers and the planet, ”said Daniel Nicholson, CEO of NadaMoo! “It is encouraging to see Texas-based family offices like Killam Investments branching out into sustainable sectors like plant-based foods to ensure our acceleration towards a more sustainable planet. Beyond being the right thing to do, this increase underscores the fact that investing in businesses that put people, planet, and goal before profit has the potential for a strong return. Consumers’ purchasing decisions are increasingly demanding on behalf of the planet, and the markets follow suit.
