National Donut Day: Quick Recipes for Easy Fried Donuts at Home


Donuts, a classic American dessert, have now become a favorite of almost everyone in the world. Passing by a donut shop without buying or tasting these colorful, chocolatey treats is nearly impossible!   1. The Versatile Basic Twist

Ingredients required

  • Take a saucepan and add the sifted maida to it. Now add the salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and keep these dry ingredients aside.

  • Now mix the butter and sugar together and add the beaten eggs to the mixture.

  • Add the milk to the dry ingredient mixture and knead into a soft dough

  • Now roll out the dough on a clean surface to a thickness of 1 inch.

  • Make the various cuts with a cookie cutter and leave it aside for 15 minutes.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, keep the heat high and add the donuts.

  • Keep changing the flame and fry it until golden brown.

  • Serve with a cup of coffee.

  • Add the sifted maida and all the dry ingredients including salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg, pour in the milk and knead a soft dough. Keep it aside for 20-30 minutes. Now mix the butter and sugar together and add the beaten eggs to the mixture.

  • Roll dough out on a clean surface to 1 inch thickness.

  • Make the various cuts with a cookie cutter and leave it aside for 15 minutes.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, keep the heat high and add the donuts.

  • Keep changing the flame and fry it until brown and let it cool for a while.

  • Dip in melted chocolate and relish.

  1. Cinnamon white chocolate punch

Ingredients required

  • 250 grams of maida cups

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon powdered nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons of butter

  • 100 grams of sugar

  • 2 beaten eggs

  • 100 grams of milk

  • frying oil

  • Melted white chocolate

  • dark chocolate chips

Method

  • Combine all dry ingredients including salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg and keep these dry ingredients aside.

  • Now mix the butter and sugar together and add the beaten eggs to the mixture.

  • Add the milk to the dry ingredient mixture and knead into a soft dough

  • Now roll out the dough on a clean surface, keeping the layer thick.

  • Make slits in the dough using a cookie cutter and leave to rest for 15 minutes.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, keep the heat high and add the donuts.

  • Keep changing the flame and fry it until golden brown.

  • Let it cool for some time.

  • Drizzle melted white chocolate over donuts, sprinkle with dark chocolate chips and relish.
