After a long break, Indian diners are back in restaurants with a vengeance. People are now curious to experiment with their food and prefer the offbeat options to the tried and true ones. This is exactly what Café Farzi aims to do with the launch of their new winter menu. One of Delhi’s favorites, the restaurant is under the umbrella of Zorawar Kalra’s Massive Restaurants. Chef Dipesh Shinde has prepared a whole new menu for diners at Farzi Cafes across Delhi-RCN.
An electrifying ambiance, glamorous interiors and vibrant music catch our attention at the very first glance of Cafe Farzi. Cafe Farzi’s new menu has attempted to incorporate regional Indian flavors with its original and creative presentations. We started our meal with the Sweet potato chaat with chutney mousse and crispy wafer on top. The layered delight was exceptionally delicious. the Tangra Soya Chaap was next on our menu – a fusion delight bringing a tangra-style spicy flavor to the usual soy chaap. the Jaitooni Paneer Tikka and creamy Broccoli Tandoori were carefully prepared and made us salivate. Each appetizer was highly recommended and really enjoyable!

Pav Bhaji with thyme butter and Farzi coffee
For the main course there were a number of exotic delicacies to choose from. We sampled the Kofta lotus root associated with a Kashmiri chili korma and Lachcha Paratha. There was also a Mushroom Gassi, which is a Mangalorean style sauce, associated with Ajwaini Lachcha Parantha. Both preparations have a spicy and tangy tinge. We especially enjoyed the Kashmir lotus stem koftas and the crispy, ghee-laden paranthas. We also tasted a special chef Pav Bhaji with thyme butter – and the miniature Pav rolls made us salivate.
At Cafe Farzi you can’t go wrong with the drinks. Signature non-alcoholic cocktails – Farzi OK and Litchi Panna Desire were delicious and refreshing, and complemented our meal perfectly. The Coffee House cocktail is also a must-have for caffeine junkies. In desserts, we tasted the Jaggery and burnt coconut with the delicious Panna Cotta with Rose. A perfect end to our meal!
