For those looking for an upscale fine dining atmosphere with drinks such as Manhattan’s, Negroni’s or a Moscow Mule, and snippets of food, then a new establishment in Westchester is the place to be.
Le Raconteur de Pleasantville, located in the former Flights space, has only been open for a few months and is already racking up five-star reviews from food and drink enthusiasts.
Visitors to Le Raconteur, owned by Michael Boulosm of Croton-on-Hudson, will be welcomed by knowledgeable staff and can either spend a night relaxing in the bar or step up to a table for a bite to eat.
The very small seasonal menu offers a selection of small plates and platters such as strawberry field salad and charcuterie platters garnished with meats and cheeses, all in a fresh and fragrant spirit.
One Yelper put it this way: “I recently visited The Raconteur and loved it. Nice place in the heart of the city. Great drinks, food and atmosphere.”
Another said: “I just tried out this brand new establishment in Pleasantville, NY and was completely surprised at what a great space it is, how delicious the food is and how we had a great time. I have nothing but raves to share.”
Others said if you’re only there for the drinks, it’s worth a visit.
Some favorites on the menu seem to be the Crabby Toasts, which are loaded with jumbo crab salad, Fresno pepper, cilantro, garlic toast and the Cheese Sampler with a chef’s selection of four kinds of cheese with bread and seasonings.
Another dessert staple is the Caramel Sticky Brownie and Cornbread.
Saturday Brunch has a very extensive menu with interesting selections such as Farmer’s Market Frittata and Chilli Cheese Toast, as well as a host of other selections.
The prices are on the high end but are focused on quality ingredients.
The bar is open Tuesday to Wednesday: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Thursday: 5 p.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday: 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and closed Sunday and Monday. Happy Hour is Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The restaurant is located at 10 Marble Avenue Pleasantville.
