Savor the flavors of Greece with the new Six By Nico menu

Greece, revered as the birthplace of democracy, theater and, most notably, the Olympics, has given the world a plethora of its most precious things, including its food.

The team at Six by Nico have harnessed the power of ancient Greek mythology to create a Mediterranean masterpiece of powerful proportions, bursting with flavor and, for the first time, incorporating both a vegetarian and vegan offering.

Each class, which will begin on Monday, August 29, 2022, will take you straight to the shores of this endless coastline, spanning thousands of islands, and transport you straight to the heart of a bustling white-walled tavern.

The regular six-course Greek-inspired menu includes: Course 1 – Moussaka – Lamb stew, marinated eggplant, cheese foam, potato tuilée; Course 2 – Greek Tomato – Tomato Gazpacho, Compressed Tomato, Whipped Feta; Course 3 – Lamb belly and sausage – Smoked Baba Ganoush, barbecue cucumber, red pepper and Kalamata olive, caper vinaigrette; Course 4 – Stone Bass – Baby Zucchini, Green Olive Tapenade, Zucchini & Basil Puree, Crispy Squid, Squid Ink, Lemon Emulsion and Course 5 – Gyros – Chicken Breast, Tomato & Oregano Terrine, Crispy Candied Potatoes & Roasted Garlic Emulsion, Marinated Pepper Tempura.

Baklava, the first and, arguably, the most authentic dessert in the Mediterranean region, will be the final event (Course 6) of this Olympian feast. This last dish is no Greek tragedy, with thick layers of walnuts tossed in honey, served with fresh cream, cherry sorbet and cherry gel.

Those choosing the vegetarian options will be transported to Santorini with dishes like stuffed zucchini and halloumi, while vegans will feel the heat of Crete with grilled eggplant and roasted cauliflower steak.

Andy Temple, Creative Director at Six by Nico Restaurant Group, said;

“You’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported to a little piece of heaven on earth with our latest menu. Every signature mainland and island dish is bursting with flavor, including gyros, olives, feta, olive oil, tzatziki, meze, and baklava, to name a few.”
