KANSAS CITY – Restaurant owners complement dessert menus with decadent seasonal offers inspired by traditional holiday treats.
Cake Batter Made with Moose Tracks Fudge Ice Cream debuts at Cold Stone Creamery for a limited time. Ice cream is paired with holiday brownies and nuggets in a new menu item called Deck the Halls with Fudge and Sprinkles.
Dairy Queen offers the Candy Cane Chill Blizzard, which consists of a soft vanilla dough mixed with pieces of sugar cane and pieces of chocolate, and the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which mixes a soft vanilla dough, fudge with cocoa and ice cream, with a whipped topping and a drizzle of chocolate.
Cupcake Bakery Sprinkles’ Holiday Collection includes Chocolate Peppermint, which features a Belgian dark chocolate cake topped with sweet and sour chocolate peppermint frosting and crushed mint candies; Christmas Cookie, which has a vanilla cake with a sugar cookie crust and vanilla buttercream frosting; and Gingerbread, with a spicy ginger cake and cream cheese frosting.
Mariah’s Cookies, the virtual bakery created by pop musician Mariah Carey in association with Virtual Dining Concepts, is launching its Holiday Hits Cookie Trio. Flavors include gingerbread, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate raspberry truffle.
Baskin-Robbins presents Gingerbread House as the Flavor of the Month for December. Gingerbread ice cream features bite-size gingerbread cookies and chunks of peppermint, finished with a drizzle of confetti frosting.
