Downtown Scottish fine dining restaurant Glaschu is set to launch its new regular tasting menu this week. Seared Scottish King Scallop; and haunch of roast venison.
The Royal Exchange Square restaurant, based in the Western Club building, opened in 2020.
Owner Andy McCartney said: “Our clientele expect the best service and the best food, so our tasting menu seemed like the next step in giving them the dining experience they are looking for. Indeed, many have asked for a tasting menu to be put together, so they can sample even more of the skills of our terrific chef and his team.
Executive Chef John Molloy said, “In every dish, our ingredients are the champions. The menu has been carefully planned, telling a story and showcasing the flavors and seasonality of Scotland.
“We use some of Scotland’s finest ingredients such as venison, scallops, artisan cheese and elevate them with carefully sourced ingredients from around the world, whether it’s a black truffle from Italy or a perfect Spanish blood orange.”
Their sommelier arranged a matching drink package to complement the menu, starting with champagne on arrival, fine wines and ending with a blood orange martini.
Priced at £70 per person, the tasting menu is available from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday to Friday, with an option of drink pairings for an additional £45 per person.
To participate, the entire table must be eating from the menu. For full terms and conditions, visit glaschurestaurant.co.uk
