Tartare Café + Wine Bar in Galway City has announced that it will be serving a special Valentine’s Day menu between Friday February 11 and Monday February 14, 6-9pm.
The special menu at €45 per person includes sparkling rosé, oysters, small plates and a decadent dessert.
Setting the tone for romance, guests will be greeted on arrival with a glass of Franz Saumon La Cave se Rebiffe, a Pet Nat natural sparkling rosé wine, before being presented with Irish charcuterie and farmhouse cheese, pickles and compote to share and enjoy together.
Diners can then choose two dishes from the following selection which all draw on a wealth of seasonal produce from the West of Ireland, including a trio of oysters; chicken cutlet with chanterelle mushrooms, ramons and sea aster; monkfish à la hollandaise with pumpkin and seaweed; Toonsbridge mozzarella, celeriac, hazelnuts and sea herbs or beef cheek with burnt onion and truffle puree foam.
The menu ends on a sweet note with Opastry cream and almond crumble served with bee pollen meringue.

The Valentine’s Day Menu will be available from Friday February 11 to Monday February 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
