Get your love for everything pumpkin-related this holiday season with these delicious and easy vegan recipes for homemade pumpkin bread and pumpkin spice latte courtesy of Take Two Barleymilk developed by the dietitian and chef Mitch Thisius of Take Two. These recipes aren’t just herbal, they’re great for the planet too! Take Two Barleymilk is the first vegetable milk made from a recycled ingredient: barley.

Barley milk is a substitute for traditional dairy products in the kitchen. Non-dairy milk can be used in savory and sweet dishes, as well as in baking, baking, mixing and consumption.

Treat yourself to the delicious Pumpkin Bread from Take Two. It’s light, chewy, and perfectly spicy – the sweet aroma might even tempt you to pull on a cozy sweater, start a fire in the woodstove (or light your favorite fireplace screensaver), and whip up a latte. based on Take Two Barleymilk. Whether you fancy a delicious snack or a dessert to bring to a holiday potluck, this recipe is sure to sweeten up your season!

20 minutes of preparation, 1 hour of cooking
Difficulty: Easy
-1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
-1 C. Baking soda
-3/4 c. Salt
-2 tsp. Cinnamon
-1/4 c. Nutmeg
-1/4 c. Grounded ginger
-1/4 c. Ground cloves
-1/4 cup of organic cane sugar
-3/4 cup brown sugar
-1 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
-1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted)
-1/4 cup Take Two Original barley milk
-2 each egg substitute (Bob’s Red Mill egg substitute is recommended)
-1 C. Vanilla extract

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves in a bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, coconut oil, Take Two Original barley milk and egg substitute.
4 Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
5. Mix the dough until it is well incorporated and the lumps are gone.
6. Pour batter into medium oiled loaf pan.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Let the bread cool for 15 minutes before removing it from the pan and cutting it.
8. Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 5 days, or wrap and freeze.

Take two pumpkin and spice lattes

Here is the Take Two version of a pumpkin spiced latte with the delicious Barista Barleymilk. It wouldn’t be the holidays without a hot cup of coffee. Just add classic pumpkin pie flavors and your favorite mug, and you’ve got a cozy winter wonderland. We will applaud this!

Yield: 12 ounces
Time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

-6oz Take Two Barista barley milk
-3 tbsp. Pumpkin puree
-2 shots of Espresso
-2 tsp. Vanilla or hazelnut syrup
-1/4 c. Pumpkin Spice Pie

1. Create your own pumpkin pie spice by mixing the spices in a small bowl or storage jar.
2. Combine the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice (¼ tsp of the largest amount you prepared) and Take Two Barista barley milk in a bowl or mug, and mix good.
3. Heat and froth the pumpkin-barley milk mixture using an electric milk frother or a steam nozzle. (You can also heat the mixture in a pot on the stovetop, if you don’t have a frother).
3. Take 2 shots of espresso. *
4. In a cup, combine the espresso and flavored syrup.
5. Slowly add the hot and frothy pumpkin barley milk mixture – maybe even creating a fancy latte art!
6. Garnish with another pinch of pumpkin pie spice.
* Use 6-8 oz of hot brewed coffee for latte.
