Valentine’s Day in the Lansing region, ways to celebrate, gift ideas.

Valentine’s Day, is it a holiday to celebrate? Some see it as a public holiday and a day for business purposes. I try not to think of it as a day that makes us buy flowers, candy, and gifts for our soul mates, someone we date, or our wives or husbands.

Of course, it’s nice to have these gifts, but it can also be a day to count your blessings to have someone to share your life with. Love is a good thing for those lucky enough to find it in my book.

Ideas for Valentine’s Day

If you’re looking for something a little different to do on Valentine’s Day this year, Monday February 14th, I’ve seen this on allevents.in/grand%20rapids. You and your sweetheart can take your photo with a professional photographer your names engraved on a large wall of ice.

This also happens to Mason, you can check out the From Michigan With Love Valentine’s event. This is happening Saturday and Sunday 02/12 and 02/13 at 352 W Columbia St in Mason. Love will be in the air in the mitten this Valentine’s Day because you can get specially designed and all made in Michigan gifts with many vendors!

Dinner for 2 on Valentine’s Day

There are also many restaurants offering love themed dinners and specialties in the Lansing area, so check with your favorite restaurant. Here is one I found Capital Prime 2324 Showtime Drive at Lansing. They will have a five-course dinner for 2 on Valentine’s Day offers with appetizer, salad, main course, dessert and champagne toast.

If you are thinking of flowers, candy, or gift cards for your partner, don’t forget to shop locally in the Lansing area and help support businesses near you.
