BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Local Rio Grande Valley (RGV) restaurant, Wing Barn, will be selling ROSE FRIED OREOS in October to raise money for the Renaissance Cancer Foundation, a local cancer foundation whose mission is to help cover the costs of daily expenses that come with a life-changing disease like breast cancer.

“Wing Barn wants to give back to local organizations that have an impact in our community,” said Bobby Saenz, President and CEO. “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many of our mothers, sisters, daughters and friends are affected by this terrible disease. We wanted to not only raise awareness for the cause and remind our loved ones to get checked out, but also make a financial donation to an organization in our community that directly helps RGV families.

Wing Barn will be turning its popular dessert, Fried Oreos, PINK for the month of October. A portion of all sales will be donated directly to the Renaissance Cancer Foundation to help local families financially with day-to-day expenses.

“Last year this PINK Fried Oreos campaign was a great success, and we were able to donate a big check. We hope the community will support this campaign again and we can make a bigger donation this year” , said Daniel Pompa, co-owner and chef.

Since 2010, Wing Barn has opened 11 locations in the Rio Grande Valley, including: Brownsville, Olmito, McAllen, Harlingen, Edinburgh, San Juan and Weslaco.
